UNEARTH veröffentlichen neue Single "Mother Betrayal"

“Mother Betrayal” ist die zweite Single vom kommenden Album “The Wretched; The Ruinous”, das am 5. Mai 2023, veröffentlicht wird. UNEARTHs vorherige Single, der Titeltrack “The Wretched; The Ruinous“, verbrachte ganze drei Wochen auf Platz eins in „The Devil’s Dozen“.

Auf ihrem achten Album “The Wretched; The Ruinous”, verstärken UNEARTH nicht nur weiterhin ihre Metal-Meets-Hardcore-Intensitäten, sondern sie übertreffen sich auch selbst mit einer Platte, die Elemente klassischer UNEARTH-Klänge enthält, wie auf ihrem „Durchbruch“ “The Oncoming Storm” von 2004, während sie gleichzeitig das “zurück zum Ursprung” -Versprechen der jüngsten Veröffentlichung von 2018 “Extinction(s)”, nicht aus den Augen verliert. Für die beiden Gründungsmitglieder von UNEARTH, Trevor Phipps und Gitarrist Buz McGrath, fühlt sich “The Wretched; The Ruinous” wie der Beginn eines neuen Kapitels an.

“Buz took the entire pandemic to write these songs,” sagt Trevor. “He pushed himself to get out of his comfort zone and explore what UNEARTH is, both past and present. Buz adding these new elements and killer song structures inspired me to be more diverse vocally. The Wretched; the Ruinous is still UNEARTH, but it’s also the most dynamic record we’ve ever done.”

Die Band arbeitete erneut mit Extinction(s) Produzent Will Putney (Body Count, Thy Art Is Murder) zusammen, das Ziel war einfach: Erschaffe die ultimative UNEARTH Platte. “There’s certain songs where you can really hear the band’s hardcore roots,” erklärt Trevor. “All of the ingredients of UNEARTH are present on these songs, but the band continues to explore new territories as writers and players.”
