Hello Jared Hart, thank you very much for your time for the interview! I hope your masks fit just fine.
We always ask at the beginning whether they want wine or beer .. what is it with you?

Festivalstalker: Your tour was postponed for a whole year. How does that feel to you?

Jared: Felt pretty brutal, but I can’t be upset with something that’s out of my control. Many people have been out of work for a very long time, and I’m fortunate to be able to get back out there.

Festivalstalker: You are on tour all September, what are you looking forward to the most?

Jared: Singing songs for people again. I missed that connection. During the lockdowns we all did livestreams and social media reach outs, but nothing compares to the feeling of sharing that with someone in person.

Festivalstalker: How would you describe an evening at your show?

Jared: It’s kind of like taking a long walk through a new neighborhood with an old friend. There are going to be things that feel familiar to you, but there’s also going to new scenery that hopefully stays with you for a long time. During that walk you and your friend share some stories that hopefully can relate to you, and you end the night feeling that you’re not in this thing alone.

Festivalstalker :If you look at the past, there have been plenty of concerts in various countries, where was the nicest place?

Jared: There’s a reason I’ve been coming back to Germany for the last 7 years you know…

Festivalstalker: Where do you feel best on stage? Alone or when your band is there?

Jared: They’re both totally different experiences and I appreciate both for many reasons. When you’re alone and a room is quiet, you feel like you’re finally playing the songs the way they were meant to be heard. It’s a really cathartic thing. And of course, nothing beats the adrenaline of playing loud music with your best friends. I couldn’t pick between the two. It’s like the wine and beer question, can’t I have a little of both?

Festivalstalker: Do you have one last sentence for your fans?

Jared: Thanks so much for supporting me for so long and for continuing to come out over the last 7 years. I’m so excited to be here again and can’t wait to see you. Stay safe and take care of each other.
