Ohne vorherige Ankündigung oder Teaser haben ENTER SHIKARI heute Nacht überraschend ihr brandneues Album veröffentlicht: „Lose Your Self“ erscheint via So Recordings und enthält 12 Tracks. Es geht um Verlassenheit, Vergeblichkeit und Verzweiflung ob des Zustands der Welt. Dennoch ziehen sich Hoffnungsschimmer und Optimismus durch das Album.
Während wir Überraschungsreleases in den vergangenen Jahren zwar auch von großen Popstars wie Beyoncé, Taylor Swift und Justin Bieber gesehen haben, veröffentlichen Enter Shikari „Lose Your Self“ anders als diese nicht nur zunächst rein digital, sondern zeitgleich auch bereits physisch. Das Werk steht seit heute um Mitternacht zum Streamen bereit und ist ab sofort zudem weltweit auf CD und Vinyl erhältlich.

We got the No.1 album on our last record. This is simply about the music being presented in a natural way.
Despite turning out to be one of our darkest and heaviest albums to date, it also preaches hope and offers answers.
Shikari will always offer hope, because without hope there is no action. We’ll just always offer it with a dose of realism.”
