ANGELUS APATRIDA kündigen ihr neues Album "Aftermath" an und droppen erste Single "Cold"

Spaniens führende Thrash-Metal-Band ANGELUS APATRIDA kündigt ihr achtes Album “Aftermath” für den 20. Oktober 2023 an.

Es knüpft an das selbstbetitelte Album “Angelus Apatrida” (“/ˈan-je-lus – a-ˈpa-tri-da/”) aus dem Jahr 2021 an, das die offiziellen Albumcharts in Spanien auf Platz 1 anführte und die ersten Charteintritte der Band in Deutschland auf Platz 49 und in der Schweiz auf Platz 41 markierte, “Aftermath” wurde wieder einmal von der Band selbst produziert, wobei die Aufnahmen von Juanan López bei Baboon Records in Albacete, Spanien, durchgeführt wurden und anschließend von Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Overkill, Hatebreed, Municipal Waste, Shadows Fall) bei Planet-Z in Wilbraham, MA, USA, gemischt und gemastert wurden.

ANGELUS APATRIDA veröffentlichen nun die erste Single zum Song “Cold”, zu dem es auch ein Video gibt, das von Juan Castillo, J. L. Auñón und Lalo Davia / Kameo Producciones gedreht wurde.

ANGELUS APATRIDA kommentieren den Song wie folgt: “Cold”: “Our new album ‘Aftermath’ has a very compact flow and loads of powerful songs. And it took ages for all the people involved in the production to choose the singles; all the 10 songs are singles themselves! But “Cold” might be the ideal first one to introduce this new album, because it has all the Angelus Apatrida ingredients to make this song a new Metal Hymn. Very deep and strong lyrics plus an amazing video story makes this track a perfect starting point. But, trust me, the whole album is a mind-blowing combination of our best-songs-ever.”

Das Artwork für “Aftermath” stammt erneut von Gyula Havancsák (Annihilator, Destruction, Stratovarius) und das Album wartet mit folgenden interessanten Gastauftritten auf: Jamey Jasta (Hatebreed, Gesang), Pablo García (Warcry, Gitarren), Todd La Torre (Queensrÿche, Gesang) und Rap Star Sho-Hai (Gesang).
